What is the EB-3 Unskilled Worker Visa?
EB-3 is the third preference category for employment-based immigration to the United States. It has three subgroups: skilled workers, professionals, and “other workers”. The other workers subgroup — usually called the unskilled category — covers permanent, full-time jobs that require less than two years of training or experience.
It is an immigrant category, not a temporary work visa. Someone who completes the process becomes a lawful permanent resident, which is what most people mean by a green card.
